Tornado watch expired, but cleanup continues

Chicagoland residents are assessing the damage and cleaning up Tuesday morning after powerful storms ripped through the area Monday night. The entire Chicago area was placed under a tornado watch Monday evening as severe storms barreled toward the region threatening wind gusts in excess of 80 mph. By about 1 am On Tuesday the tornado watches and warnings that covered 13 million people across Illinois Indiana and Wisconsin had expired. A tornado warning siren went off in the newsroom when FOX 32 Chicago meteorologists were covering the city's severe weather on live TV. Severe thunderstorms ripped through Chicagoland on Sunday evening with damaging winds up to 70 mph and tornado tearing through a Chicago.
