Philadelphia Eagles' Jason Kelce is known for his prowess on the football field, but off the field, he's a dad who loves to joke with his daughters.

Now, Kelce has shared a hilarious method he uses to keep his daughters from begging for a cat: he tells them cats are poisonous.

"I tell them cats are poisonous," Kelce said on his podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce. "They love animals, but they're terrified of cats now."

Kelce's cat-based fib has worked like a charm so far. "It's been working for two years," he said. "I'm just waiting for the day where they're like, 'Dad, that's not true.'"

While Kelce's method may not be the most scientific approach to deterring feline desires, it's certainly effective - at least for now. Until his daughters discover the truth, Kelce will continue to enjoy his cat-free household.
